Here we are having breakfast in Fullerton with Alastair, Lisa, Ben and Ruby.
Yesterday was incredibly stressful, getting from Hamilton to John Wayne Airport. We had to pick up our passports at the travel shop in Toronto Airport before we could even get on a plane. Security measures were awesome. We were searched by members of the RCMP, all fully armed! But, we finally made it.
It is wonderful to be here.
Wishing you a Bon Voyage and an absolutely fantastic trip! Love, Randy and Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteGood to see you've both arrived safely Liz! I think you are now on the SHIP!!! Looking forward to the next post to hear your thoughts on being at see. Lov Jo
ReplyDeleteWe expect you're both on the ship by now. We can't wait to hear about it! Love ya, Randy and Elizabeth
ReplyDeleteI have been trying to send a comment for HOURS!! Without any success. So this is yet another try! If it works I will write a proper message! David
ReplyDeleteHey!! It worked! Yippee!! I will now take time of to have something to eat, then i will write a proper message.
ReplyDeleteHello again.
ReplyDeleteSorry about those slightly hysterical messages - I had been wrestling with my computer for hours with zero success and when I finally got through it made me feel quite light-headed!
So, the time here in freezing Ontario being 9:45 pm, my guess is that - if you set sail at the predicted time yesterday - you will have been heading due west afloat the great Pacific Ocean for slightly over 24 hours. It must be absolutely wonderful. Believe me, my thoughts are with you pretty much all the time. I shall have to try to put a stop to this because I can't spend the next four months imagining myself travelling round the world when I am actually shivering at one end of my poor dog's leash while she shivers at the other!
I imagine that your time is pretty fully occupied right now finding your way about the boat and getting to know all the things there are to do and all the people you will be doing them with. so, please, don't feel that you have to start 'blogging' until you are settled down. It will be great to hear all about it when you have time but don't feel there is any rush.
I'm not sure whether there is any limitation on the length of these 'blogs' (isn't that a really unpleasant word? I think it has a distinctly excretory flavour, don't you?) but maybe I had better shut up in case there is. So I will take my poor shivering animal out onto the ice cap and try to stop thinking about the Pacific!! I hope it is all absolutely marvellous; you deserve it. My love to you both.
David.
Just a thought Liz, how about getting that suitcase unpacked and out of Audie's way???? (see Maggie's blog.) Hope you are having a great time and recovering from the chaos of the pre-trip activities! Looking forward to readingyour next blog. Love to you both. Jo
